PZU Group is one of the strongest companies in Poland

PZU is one of the most recognisable brands in Poland.

In 2010, PZU successfully completed its initial public offering (IPO) and debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It was the largest IPO in Polish history and the largest in Europe since 2007.

PZU is the market leader in Polish property and casualty insurance, in terms of gross written premiums (32.2% market share at the end of 2012).

PZU Zycie is the market leader in Polish life insurance in terms of gross written premiums (25.6% market share at the end of 2012).
PTE PZU manages OFE PZU Złota Jesień, the third largest open pension fund in Poland as at the end of December 2012, both in terms of its members (2.2 million) and net assets under management (PLN 36.3 billion).

At the end of 2012, net value of investment funds managed by TFI PZU amounted to PLN 15.3 billion (the first place in the market).

From a business point of view 2012 was an exceptional year for PZU. The PZU Group generated its best net financial result since the IPO (3,253.8 m PLN), nearly 40% higher than in the previous year.

The factors contributing to this success included the more than 6% growth in gross written premium (16,243.1 m PLN), very robust investment performance (+132%) and the high profitability of its operations (20%). The Group also generated a very high return on equity (ROE) of 24%. This success is the result of steadfastly pursuing our strategy of modernizing and restructuring the PZU Group while maintaining cost discipline.

PZU Życie (life) and PZU (non-life) have a long-term credit and financial rating A (by Standard & Poor's Ratings Services) with a stable rating perspective.
